    New CUSD Volunteer Policy

Truman Benedict parents who plan to volunteer during the 2009-2010 school year should read up on the new CUSD volunteer requirements.

** Please note that we no longer require TB testing for volunteers.**

Tier I Volunteers: Fingerprinting is required.
All volunteers who have unsupervised contact with students.  This includes drivers for field trips, chaperones on overnight trips, all coaching assistants for sports, and any volunteers who may work with students without being directly supervised by an employee during the school day.

Tier II Volunteers: Fingerprinting is not required.
These are volunteers who do not work directly with students and/or those who are under the supervision of employees at all times (e.g., classroom volunteers who are always in the room with a teacher).
    Fingerprinting:
    • Cost: $42, payable by cash, personal check or money order  - no credit cards.
    • Appointments: Visit www.danapointlivescan-notary.com.
Volunteers are welcome to contact other LiveScan processing centers for fingerprint clearance.  You are also welcome to utilize alternative LiveScan services for fingerprinting if these dates do not work for you.

    Tier I Volunteer ID Badges
Tier I Volunteers who have already received fingerprint clearance can receive a district-issued photo identification badge. Check back on this site for future dates on getting badges.
Volunteers play a huge role in making Truman Benedict the wonderful school it is! Thank you for being a part of your child's education.
